The Nebraska Avenue bridge has now reopened to traffic (between Ellis Street and Hampton Court) . The construction of the new Nebraska Avenue Bridge over Dry Run Creek has been completed. The project was funded in part by a State Highway Bridge Replacement Program grant to replace the bridge structure, which was originally constructed in 1938 and renovated in the 1970s.

The project was coordinated among the City of Peoria, its engineering consultant, Maurer-Stutz, and the prime contractor, Stark Excavating. Thank you to Josie Esker, PE, SE, for all of your hard work on this project.
