Our Team
We are a locally rooted, multi-discipline consulting engineering firm with offices in Peoria and Canton, Illinois. In addition to our office-based staff, we have remote team members located in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin, allowing us to stay closely connected to the clients we serve throughout the Midwest. With nearly 30 years of experience and a team of 45+ professionals, we support a wide range of public and private sector clients with practical, results-driven solutions.
From initial planning through construction, MSI provides comprehensive services for projects of all sizes and complexities. Our collaborative approach prioritizes client satisfaction, clear communication, and customized solutions—ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with your goals.
1996
Dave Maurer and Joe Stutz founded Maurer Stutz and built an office on Harker Drive in Peoria.
2001
Built and opened new office space in Canton on Ash Street.
2004
Terry Feldmann joined Maurer-Stutz and started the agricultural Group
2009
Internal ownership transitioned to Keith Plavec, Steve Arahood, Rick Anderson, and Terry Feldmann
2012
We moved from our Peoria office to our current location on Dries Lane.
2020
We were able to maintain operations and a full staff during the COVID-19 pandemic.
2022
Rick Anderson retired. This started a new transition in internal ownership including: Gayle Baker, Scott Hobart, Curtis Lynn, Scott Perry, Jeff Spiller, and Bryan Swanson.
2024
Maurer Stutz added the geospatial group to our service list.
2025-2026
Steve Arahood retired in 2025. In 2026 we celebrated our 30 year anniversary!
