    COOK CANTON PTFE / CANTON, ILLINOIs

    Maurer-Stutz, Inc. provided topographic survey, engineering design, and construction phase services for a PTFE manufacturing facility.  The new construction was located on a Brownfield site in Canton, IL and required specific engineered barrier and IEPA compliance. 

    Site design included plan layout, grading, engineered barrier compliance with IEPA requirements, coordination with on site utilities, stormwater management and detention, ensuring ADA compliance for buildings and sidewalks, pavement designs, and assisting in obtaining the necessary permits.  Construction responsibilities included limited construction observation, shop drawing review, and bi-weekly construction progress meetings; and office preparation, coordination, and staking of construction layout.

    Country Comfort Retirement Homes of Elmwood / Elmwood, Illinois

    Maurer-Stutz, Inc. provided engineering design, and construction phase services for an assisted living facility. The site was designed for a 16 resident, 8,500 SF facility, and the parking and drop off area included 11 parking spaces.  The site was very constricted by the two odd-shaped lots it was located on.  The site also included IDOT storm sewer connection design and permitting.  The stormwater was routed to a subdivision detention cell.

    Site design included plan layout, grading, stormwater management, assuring ADA compliance for building access and sidewalks, pavement, and assisting in obtaining the necessary permits.  Construction responsibilities included shop drawings, RFI’s and staking of construction layout.

    El Paso-Gridley Athletic Facility / El Paso, Illinois

    Maurer-Stutz, Inc. provided topographic survey and engineering design phase services for a regulation sized new football field with track and field events to replace an existing cinder track and football practice field.  The design accounted for a future baseball field, softball field, and additional driving and parking areas. 

    The football field was designed with underground tile drainage and the track had interior edge drainage.  Stormwater detention was sized to accommodate the future parking and driveway improvements. 

    Site design included demolition, plan layout, grading, coordination with on-site utilities, storm sewer, stormwater management and detention, assuring ADA compliance for building access and sidewalks, and assisting in obtaining the necessary permits.

    Big Creek Pool & Senior/Teen Recreation Center / Canton, Illinois

    Maurer-Stutz, Inc. was retained by the Canton Park District to provide a topographic survey, engineering design and construction layout staking for a new pool and senior/teen recreation center.

    The site was located on 15-acres which was housed the original Canton Park District Pool that was demolished nearly 20 years prior.  The proposed facility included a pool area that could accommodate 400 bathers, bathhouse, senior/teen recreation center and 116 space parking lot.  

    Site design included plan layout; grading around pool area, sidewalks and parking lot; coordination with City of Canton, Chicago-based architect and Canton Park District; drainage and detention design; and comprehensive storm water pollution prevention plan.  Construction responsibilities included construction layout staking.

  • Lewistown County Market / Lewistown, Illinois

    Maurer-Stutz, Inc. provided boundary and topographic surveying, engineering design, and construction-phase services for the complete redevelopment of this County Market facility. The project included demolition of the existing site and construction of a new 27,400 SF store—approximately double the size of the original—while the existing building remained operational. Improvements also doubled the parking area, enhanced site access in coordination with a proposed IDOT intersection project, added double truck dock access, a trash compactor and receiving area, and a drive-up pharmacy. One block of Adams Street was vacated and reconstructed to serve as the new front-of-store entrance.

    Site design included demolition planning, layout, grading, stormwater management and detention, utility coordination, ADA-compliant access and sidewalks, pavement design, and permitting. Construction services included shop drawing and RFI review, limited construction observation, and construction layout staking.

  • Dunkin Donuts / Peoria, Illinois

    Maurer-Stutz, Inc. provided topographic survey, engineering design, and construction phase services for a complete rebuild of this Dunkin Donuts facility. The entire existing site was designed to be demolished and replaced with a new building that has drive-up access.  The constricted lot had setback and parking variances obtained by the Architect that had to be met, while achieving drainage and detention.  Coordination with the City of Peoria and local utilities removed one entrance from University Street and created a new sanitary sewer service.
