Pastoral Center and South Parking Lot Addition / Peoria, Illinois
Maurer-Stutz, Inc. provided topographic survey, boundary survey, civil engineering design, and construction phase services for the new pastoral center and south parking lot addition.
The site was designed for a 29,000 SF building addition. The main parking lot and south parking lot addition included 157 total parking spaces. The site grading was restricted with existing streets and alley site entrances to connect to, while meeting ADA requirements. The sustainable detention design incorporated 4 dry-wells in the main parking lot and 1 dry-well in the south parking lot. The design also converted most of the block of NE Madison Ave. between Bryan Ave. and Spalding Ave. into a green park and plaza space.
Site design included demolition, plan layout, grading, stormwater management and detention, assuring ADA compliance for building access and sidewalks, pavement designs, and assisting in obtaining the necessary permits. Construction responsibilities included construction administration, shop drawing review and coordination with survey construction layout.
Country Comfort Retirement Homes of Elmwood / Elmwood, Illinois
Maurer-Stutz, Inc. provided engineering design, and construction phase services for an assisted living facility. The site was designed for a 16 resident, 8,500 SF facility, and the parking and drop off area included 11 parking spaces. The site was very constricted by the two odd-shaped lots it was located on. The site also included IDOT storm sewer connection design and permitting. The stormwater was routed to a subdivision detention cell.

Canton Harvester Inn / Canton, Illinois
Maurer-Stutz, Inc. provided topographic survey, boundary survey, engineering design, and construction phase services for a hotel.
The site was designed for a four story, 42 bedroom, upscale hotel in downtown Canton, IL. The parking and drop off area included 37 parking spaces. The site was very constricted by streets on three sides that included coordination with an IDOT intersection upgrade that was concurrently constructed. The site also included IDOT storm sewer connection design and permitting. The stormwater detention was designed to be contained in oversized underground pipes.
