Congratulations to Scott Perry

Maurer-Stutz is proud to congratulate Scott Perry, EIT on his completion of the Civil Engineer Basic Course at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH this spring.  Scott has been a member of the 182d Airlift Wing in Peoria since the spring of 2006.

While in the 182d Airlift Wing, Scott has supported a couple of different functions including fireman and now civil engineer.  Scott has served on several deployments including the support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom to Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.  He was part of a 48 person team of firefighters providing fire and emergency services for 10,000 troops.  Many were Kuwaiti, South Korean, Australian, Japanese, Army, Navy and Marines. 

On May 4, 2012, Scott was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the 182d Civil Engineering Squadron.  He is now tasked with leading and managing 65 airmen within the Operations Section of the Squadron.  These men and women are skilled in the trades of power production, electrical systems, vertical and horizontal construction, HVAC, water and liquid fuels management, and heavy equipment operations.
